Airport Locations

There are 3 international airports in the vicinity.

  • Mineta San Jose International Airport: 6 miles
    We recommend Mineta San Jose International Airport be considered first as it is closest, and for attendees staying at the Holiday Inn, a free airport shuttle can be requested from the hotel. The Metro/Airport Light Rail station is a short ride on Bus Line Airport Flyer (10) from the airport.
  • Metropolitan Oakland International Airport: 33 miles

Driving Directions From the Airports

Santa Clara Convention Center is easily accessed by car from Highway 101 (the Bayshore Freeway) and Highway 237. Free parking is provided at the Santa Clara Convention Center garage. Click here to download PDF of driving direction and airport location map.

  • From San Jose International Airport (Interstate 101 North) Take San Jose Int'l. Airport's Guadalupe Pkwy. Exit. Turn left on Guadalupe Pkwy. follow onto I-101 North. Follow I-101 North approximately three miles and exit at Great America Pkwy. Turn right on Great America Pkwy. The Convention Center is located at Great America Pkwy. and Tasman Ave. You can find the Convention Center Parking Garage by exiting at the Hyatt Regency's 2nd driveway at Bunker Hill Rd. Convention Center parking is FREE.
  • From San Francisco International Airport (Interstate 101 South) Follow San Francisco Int'l. Airport's exit signs to I-101 South towards San Jose. Take I-101 South approximately 30-40 minutes and exit at Great America Pkwy. Turn left at Great America Pkwy. The Convention Center is at Great America Pkwy. and Tasman Ave. You can find the Convention Center Parking Garage by exiting Great America Pkwy. at the Hyatt Regency's 2nd driveway at Bunker Hill Rd. Convention Center parking is FREE.
  • From Oakland International Airport (Interstate 880 South) Exit Oakland Int'l. Airport and take Hegenberger Rd. to I-880 South towards San Jose. Take I-880 approximately 30-40 minutes to Highway 237 towards Mountain View. Follow Highway 237 to Great America Pkwy. exit. Turn left on Great America Pkwy. The Convention Center is at Great America Pkwy. and Tasman Ave. You can find the Convention Center Parking Garage by exiting off Great America Pkwy. at the Hyatt Regency's 2nd driveway at Bunker Hill Rd. Convention Center parking is FREE.

Transportation from NASA ARC to the Convention Center

The NASA Lodge and Student Housing are a 10 – 15 minute walk from the  Bayshore/NASA Light Rail Station near the Ellis Street Gate to NASA Ames Research Center. The Ellis Street Gate is open from 6 AM to 6 PM each day (0600 to 1800 hours).

If you return after 6 PM, enter by the Moffett Field Gate to NASA Ames Research Center. It is approximately 1.75 mile walk from the Bayshore/NASA light rail station to the Moffett Field Gate, and a short distance farther to the NASA Lodge and Student Housing.

(Note: If a large number of people stay at the NASA Lodge and Student Housing, evening transportation from the Convention Center may be provided.)

Route: Follow Ellis Street under 101-Bayshore Freeway. Turn right (NW) on Fairchild Drive, which becomes Leong Drive as it curves left. Follow Leong Drive to Moffett Blvd, and turn right (NE). Follow Moffett Blvd. over the Bayshore-101 Freeway, and enter NASA Ames Research Center at the Moffett Field Gate.
